The inception of our working relationship started at an US Department of Energy funded program with the Old Dominion University’s Industrial Assessment Center (IAC). At the IAC, Paige and I started our consulting experience as Energy Consultants. We provided pro bono consulting services to small to medium sized businesses that could not afford professional consulting services. Our IAC projects consisted of delivering business improvement recommendations that improved the gross margin and reduced their operational expenses.
Fast-forwarding to 2013 our idea to start a management consulting firm emerged. The Averroes Consulting Services, LLC was incorporated but not officially started until September 2023. During the dormant period (I.e., 2013 – 2022), we were focused on our branding materials, business model development, and capability development that would strengthen our value proposition.
Averroes Management Consultancy is a new niche boutique management consulting company. AMC is focused on building strong client relationships by delivering high-quality services and solutions to address complex business problems. The approach of functioning as an integrated team and gaining a deep understanding of the client’s organization and business is a valuable approach in the consulting industry.
AMC’s emphasis on establishing a common understanding of the interconnected elements of a client’s corporate and business strategy, operating model, organizational structure, and roles and responsibilities is crucial for effective consultancy. It’s noteworthy that AMC emphasizes the importance of roles over job titles or professions, which indicates a flexible and adaptable approach to consulting.
